Rachel Blackman

I am a wife, mom, and lover of all things fitness. Growing up, I was an avid gymnast and sampled all possible sports you could dream of (and no, I was NOT coordinated enough for dance). I soon fell in love with soccer and found myself playing on a highly competitive team throughout grade school and high school. After signing to play at a Division II nationally-ranked school on scholarship, I found myself with knee pain resulting in two major knee surgeries. Despite months of physical therapy, my knee didn't rehabilitate to the level I had hoped. As much as a let-down as this was, I knew that God had good things in store for me. I began pursuing two avenues of interest ā€“ fitness and communication. I have a degree in Communication Studies, and I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and TRX Qualified. I am incredibly blessed to be a part of the Get Fit community and strive to live a life devoted to whole health ā€“ both physically and spiritually. When Iā€™m not training at Get Fit or working out, you will find me doing life with my sweet husband and baby boy. I think kettlebells and box jumps are the coolest so be prepared to see these two in a workout.
