Using Fitness To Deal With Grief--Hannah's Story

In January of this year 2016, I lost my dad to Cholangiocarcinoma (Bile Duct Cancer); a very rare form of cancer. I couldn't wrap my head around how or why he got this terrible disease, but I know "God works out all things for the good of those who love Him" (Romans 8:28).

My dad inspired me to start focusing on my health. In February I signed up for Food Fit. I wanted to learn how to properly fuel my body and learn how to eat to prevent such diseases. In addition to beginning Food Fit, I also started working out at Get Fit in February. As soon as I joined, I loved everything about Get Fit: what they stand for, the work outs, the atmosphere, and most importantly, the encouragement.

I signed up for my first Boot Camp season 15. During Season 15 of Boot Camp I lost 17.2 pounds! Get Fit has helped me in so many ways through the process of grieving the loss of my dad. Since February, I have lost 37 pounds, and 20% body fat! I have learned how to make this my lifestyle and set the example of whole health for my husband and two little girls through the tools Get Fit has provided and through the help of my amazing coach Kayla!
