Bravo, Get Fitters.


Dear Get Fitters,


As I drove away from the studio this morning I felt thankful. I’ve been thinking about it and realized why I feel this way. It’s You.

I am in the middle of a season of change. It could be a time for anxiety, yet for some very good reasons, I am looking forward to what comes next. You are a big part of those reasons.

The first thought that came to mind as I thought about all of you is this - you care!

It is obvious that you have a level of concern for yourself simply in the fact that you are a consistent part of our studio. People don’t make that kind of investment and do that amount of work unless they care. Bravo!

More than that, you care for each other. I watched as one of our old–timers (not in age) stopped his workout, came alongside a new client and walked him through an exercise. I saw at least six conversations this morning as I was leaving. There was animation, joy, and a spirit of camaraderie in all the conversations. These things happen because you care. Additionally, whenever we throw down any kind of challenge to help our community you are eager to jump in. Bravo!

And finally, you show a care and respect for each of us who have the privilege of being your trainers. You always encourage me and make me feel appreciated. Because of that, I want to be the best I can be. I hear the same comment from all of our trainers over and over, “We have an amazing studio with amazing people.” All I can say is, Bravo!

Recently at a training course, I spoke to several trainers who talked about their clients. There is nothing wrong with that, technically that is correct. I just can’t think of you only as clients. You are my friends, my encouragement and give me great joy.

I know I speak for all of us who share this privilege when I say thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
