Detoxing your body is a great idea--especially after going through a month of holidays where everything is packed with sugars and heavy creams. If we want to get our bodies back on track, or get them going in the right direction, detoxing is recommended. WHY? Because our bodies are so use to the toxins, additives, preservatives, processed foods, refined flours, and sweeteners that we put into them on a regular basis. Ridding your body of all of these things is key to seeing results, hitting goals, and most importantly, living in optimal health.

In the first 3 days of detox, it is very common to be experiencing side effects/withdrawals because processed foods are like a drug to our bodies. HANGRY is a THING and the struggle is REAL. Warn your family, friends, and coworkers that you will be detoxing...or better yet, get them to join you! By day 4, you will more than likely start to feel amazing! Detox should only last for 5 days. After the 5 days begin to implement clean whole foods. We have several recipes here on BLOGFit.
