25 Things About Eva

  1. I was raised by a single dad. If you’ve ever heard the Jeff Foxworthy joke, “you might be a redneck of you have an engine hanging from a tree in your front yard,” it pretty much sums up my childhood.temp-post-image
  2. I’ve known my fair share of heartache. I lost my mom when I was 19 years old, my dad when I was 21 years old and my grandma/best friend when I was 25 years old. I look forward to the day when I will be reunited with them again.
  3. I have a brother named Justin and three cousins that are just like sisters.temp-post-image
  4. I have two fur babies. Griffin is my American Bulldog and Dexter, my sweet little rescue mut.temp-post-image
  5. I have two boys, Travis (11) and Levi (4) who always keep me on my toes, are constantly teaching me and who give my life purpose. I just love them to pieces!temp-post-image
  6. I despise mushrooms and refuse to eat them.
  7. I have the most amazing step-dad, who took on a very stubborn little girl, at a young age and put up with all my girl drama and torture that I had to dish out, but committed to his role in my life (even still to this day) and has always been there for me.
  8. My biggest pet peeves are dishes in the sink and bumper stickers on cars, both drive me crazy!
  9. I’m ALWAYS late. I’m always up and ready in time to get to where I need to be, but somehow I’m always a few minutes late (except to Run Fit and work, of course).
  10. I’m a spiller! Thank God for tide pens, total lifesavers.
  11. When I grow up, I want to be either a park or forest ranger. I gave being a hair stylist a go in 4th grade, experimenting on my own bangs and I’ll be the first to admit, it wasn’t in the cards for me.

  14. I like to go fast! When my boys aren’t in my truck with me, I drive a LITTLE over the speed limit, safely. I also think I may be a tad color blind, because when most people see red lights, I still see yellow. (***disclaimer***I only run red lights at 4AM, when there are no other cars in sight, and if you’re law enforcement, I’m totally kidding).
  15. When I was 16 years old, I hit two cows on Oakdale-Waterford Highway due to faulty brakes a freak accident that spoked them into the road. I was so distraught, scared and late for work, that I fled the scene. The next day I overheard a girl in my English class the next day telling the story of how her cows were involved in a hit and run and had to be put down. I was known the rest of my junior year as the cow killer.
  16. I worked and pretty much lived off Taco Bell in Oakdale for 2 years in high school.temp-post-image

I was stationed in Hanau, Germany and served 14 months in Iraq/Kuwait (OIF1), as a tracked vehicle mechanic (63Y/63H).temp-post-imagetemp-post-image

  20. I wasn’t allowed to have long hair when I was younger. My grandma spent a good 10 years mushroom cutting my hair.
